My Restaurant Dreams Come True: Planta South Beach

I’ll admit, I first decided I had to visit Planta in South Beach because it was the VIP destination of Jordyn Woods’ 21st birthday dinner and owned by Miami celebrity entrepreneur Dave Grutman. But as soon as I looked at the menu, I was sold.

My meal was one of the most delicious, guilt-free dinners I’ve ever had.

I’ve stuck to a plant-based diet about 90% of the time (and vegetarian 100% of the time) for about two years now. I went down a rabbit-hole of Netflix documentaries about the food industry, and now I simply don’t crave meat or cheese (I know, I sound like a lunatic, as my family and friends have told me many times).

Imagine my pure joy when I realized Planta is 100% vegan, and therefore I could eat every single thing on the menu. The tyranny of choice was real.

Moral of the story: If you ever find yourself in the 305 without any idea of what to do for dinner, consider your night planned.

Two words – Cauliflower. Tots. Those are my two favorite things, in the most unexpected of combinations.

The burger was to DIE for.

We also ordered the kelp caesar, which was equally delicious and decadent.

The atmosphere is equally as aesthetically-pleasing. Case in point, we were shamelessly photoshooting all dinner.
